Inveraray Castle on our Loch Lomond and Inveraray Castle Tour dominates and fills this shot. A gothic revival castle built in the 1700's, it is grey, square and with four round corner towers with conical roofs. Green lawns are at the foot of the picture and a cloudy blue sky above.

There is a blue sky with two snow capped mountains. The foreground is a lake, and the centrepiece is a ruined castle projecting into the lake on a wooded spit of land. This whole picture is then imperfectly reflected in the rippled surface of the lake.

A ginger-coloured hairy cow with horns rubbing its throat on a barbed wire fence fills this image. The background is of Kilmahog on our Stirling Castle and Highland Cattle Tour. It is out-of-focus green field, wooded hill and cloudy sky.

Grass occupies the near foreground, and then a single line of deciduous tress fringing a lake shore. The sky above is blue, and partially reflected in the lake, but a white early morning mist over the water obscures much. On the far shore a wodded hill rises, and at it's foot, just emerging from the mist are three towers of a castle.

A close-up view of Stirling Castle, on our Wallace Monument Tour fills the right side of the image. The castle is above the line of sight, and the cliff falls from our location. The day is fine and across the flat green fields below us, we can see the blue mountains of the Highlands on the far horizon.

Above us, against a white sky and on top of a wooded hill is a large ornate tower dating from the mid-1800s. This Wallace Monument, on the Stirling Castle Tour, is four floors high.
