Grouped below are some accommodation ideas for you, in some of the most usual locations we visit. 

We would always recommend that you check the most recent reviews online too, as, of course, establishments can change hands or even close down.

Inverness

B & Bs would include Ardconnel House, Kilcumin Guest House, Glenrossie Guest House, Rosebank Guest House, Invernevis Bed and Breakfast and Kinloch Lodge or on the hotel side of things perhaps the Heathmount, Glenmoriston Town House, or the Kingsmills. Edinburgh

B & Bs would include Sherwood, Auld Reekie Guest House, Strathallan, Arrandale, Lantern Guest House, or Millers64.
Good but economical hotels would include Adagio Aparthotel, A-Haven Townhouse Hotel, The Parliament House Hotel and Grassmarket Hotel. Hi-end Hotels would include the Sheraton Grand, the Rutland Hotel and Hotel Indigo. 

Portree

B & Bs would include Grenitote, Duirinish, 14 Raasay Court, or Ben Tianavaig,
or on the hotel side of things perhaps the Cuillin Hills, the Bosville, the Rosedale or Marmalade.

Broadford

B & Bs would include Hillside in Kyleakin (about 8 miles away), Seaview Guest House, or Benview.
Broadford Hotel, or Eilean Iarman Hotel (though it is about 9 miles away).

Kirkwall

B & Bs include Polrudden, Ben Mora & Hildeval. Centrally-located hotels which our guests have enjoyed include the West End Hotel, the Ayre Hotel and the Albert Hotel. The Lynnfield Hotel and the Foveran are excellent, but located a bit further out (being a 30 minute walk and a one hour walk respectively).

Wick

B & Bs include The Clachan, or Impala or the Bank Guesthouse.
Hotels include MacKays Hotel or the Norseman Hotel.

Durness

B & Bs include Mackays Rooms, Aiden House or Glengolly. The Smoo Cave Hotel is close by.

Gairloch

B & Bs in Gairloch include Newton House, Muldoanich, Lochview and the Wayside.
There are several hotels, among them the Myrtle Bank, the Old Inn and the Millcroft.
